The Story
On the southern shore of Lake Garda, 3rd gen bros. Filippo and Nicolo Bottacini farm 2 hectares in Lugana’s historical Sermana lieu-dit. This former guinea fowl farm is effectively a ‘clos’, encircled by the Sermana stream, trees and the shoreline. An artisanal approach, with small production, delivers spirited, tangy, mineral whites from the local Turbiana grape; previously considered a variation of Trebbiano di Soave (leading to the synonym Trebbiano di Lugana), it was identified by DNA profiling as genetically related to Verdicchio.
