Ambonnay, Champagne
The Story
It was in 1896 that Eugene Billiot, a miller by trade in Ambonnay, invested in vineyards with the arrival of electricity. He saw the purchase of this land as a guarantee of prosperity for his descendants. The grapes were then sold to major Champagne houses before being partially retained for the first productions of their own Cuvées.
Champagne Billiot has existed since 1937, the original property belonging to Mr. Louis Billiot, who later divided it among his descendants. Now, Laetitia Billiot, proud to be the fifth generation, is in charge of managing the estate, production, and winemaking.
